Notches
Firefox Notches are 8 notches filed into the octagonal analog stick gate. When the analog stick is moved into these notches, they allow for many favourable techniques in Super Smash Bros Melee. Most notably they aid characters like Fox, Falco, Sheik and Pikachu to recover with the most shallow up-B angles on either side of the four cardinal directions. Wavedash Notches are only the two notches below the horizontal cardinals, and are included with Firefox Notches.
There are multiple other uses for Firefox Notches aside from recovery angles. Such as:
- Maximum and Minimum Wavedash Lengths
- Easier Angled Forward-Tilts
- Easier Turn around Up-Tilts
- Slide off DI/Slight DI
Cellphone Vibrate
This modification replaces the heavy OEM Rumble motor with a much smaller cellphone vibrating motor. It feels and sounds exactly like getting a phone vibrate notification, in place of where the OEM rumble motor would vibrate (like when landing a hit in SSBM).
