PHOB: Emerald Gold
A near-mint Emerald controller with the latest Phob Motherboard model and firmware installed.
By purchasing, you receive a fully assembled and calibrated Phob 2.0.5 controller. This build uses only the best quality components. The motherboards are made and tested by Elecrow, the Emerald controller components are in near-mint condition, and the build is assembled with Kadano's 6-Pin Ribbon cables and Mushroom Forge's custom Magnet Mounts.
These controllers are designed to be used in Super Smash Bros Melee, but can also be used in Super Smash Bros Ultimate. If you're going to use a Phob on a Switch however, it is highly recommended to only use first party Nintendo adapters, as third party adapters are known to cause issues in some cases.
This build includes:
$120 PhobGCC 2.0.5 Motherboard
Emerald Shell
$35 Trigger Performance Mod
$35 6ft Unpluggable Paracord Cable
$40 Resin Bald Buttons by MauvesResinLab
$10 Resin C Stick
Add-ons (Priced in USD)
Notches
There are multiple other uses for Firefox Notches aside from recovery angles. Such as:
- Maximum and Minimum Wavedash Lengths
- Easier Angled Forward-Tilts
- Easier Turn around Up-Tilts
- Slide off DI/Slight DI
Mouse Click Z Button & Tactile Z Button
The Mouse Click Z Button add-on replaces the OEM Z button switch with an Omron D2LS-11 mouse click switch, mounted with a custom resin printed mount created by Simple, and printed by Mushroom Forge. This add-on is recommended for players who use the button remapping feature of the PhobGCC to enable Z jump, or for players who want a more reliable tactile feeling when using the Z button.
The Tactile Z Button is an Z Button switch taken from a Wii Classic Controller. It requires slightly more pressure to push down compared to the OEM Z Button, but isn't as clicky as the mouse click Z button.
Cellphone Vibrate
This modification replaces the heavy OEM Rumble motor with a much smaller cellphone vibrating motor. It feels and sounds exactly like getting a phone vibrate notification, in place of where the OEM rumble motor would vibrate (like when landing a hit in SSBM).
Phobvision
Phobvision is a testing software built into Phob 2.0.5 motherboards that conveniently allows you to test and calibrate your controller with access to: a powered on Wii/Gamecube/1st Party Adapter, a Composite display (CRT for example), and a TRRS to RCA video cable (not included. I recommend this cable from Amazon, but any good-quality cable from Best buy or other tech stores should work fine.)
